Does every account come with its own unique IP address?
YES - Backbone Internet only offers accounts with unique IP's. Many browsers do not recognize the Java required on sites sharing IP's. If you think you are getting a bargain somewhere else, read the small print.

Can I upgrade my account at any time without set-up fees?
YES - You can upgrade at any time there are never set-up fees with Backbone Internet.

What about if I go over on data transfer? Will I be surprised with a large bill?
NO - Overages on data transfer are at the rate of $10 per 1000MB(1 GB).  This is about 50% of most of our competitors.  In addition, you can set up your control panel to notify you if you are getting close to exceeding your transfer limits.  That way, you can decide if you wish to reduce the amount of transfer,  pay extra for additional traffic, or upgrade plans.  A good way to reduce data transfer on a heavily visited website is to reduce picture resolution or page size.

Can I add disk space to my existing plan?
YES - You can add disk space in 20 MB blocks for $5.00 per month.  However if you need to upgrade more than 20 MB, it is usually more cost effective to upgrade your plan.

Can I register a new domain name through Backbone Internet?
YES - You may register a new domain name for only $16.00 per year when you sign up with us for your webhosting needs. Just put a check by "NEW REGISTRATION" on the order form and we will be happy to take care of it for you.  You must pay by credit card if you are registering a new domain name.

Will Backbone Internet place advertising banners on my site?
NO- Web hosts that "discount" services often utilize advertising banners which lure your customers away from your site. You should decide if you wish to have banners and you should receive the profits if you do

Do I have to pay by credit card?
NO- For Webhosting, you may pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or send us a check if you prefer.  We simply ask that we receive the check within 15 days of signing up with us.  However, if you are registering a domain through us we do require a credit card for this service.

How much does it cost to add "Pointer Domains" to my exising account?
Domain name pointers are available at a rate of $4.00 per month and  can be added to any existing package.
